CHAD SCHULTZ

Designer

At the core of Chad’s passion for landscape is his desire to create immersive spaces that better connect people to places and to each other. He strives towards designing projects that create a sense of place while enriching the cultural, social, and environmental landscapes of its surroundings.  Chad’s expertise in landscape architecture and urban design enables him to approach projects comprehensively, considering every aspect of design from concept to implementation.  He believes the best projects blend seamlessly, merging architecture and site as one and are achieved through a collaborative design process.

Chad received his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa in 2019.  Upon graduation Chad worked at multidisciplinary design firms throughout the Midwest including JBC Landscape Architects in Kansas City, Missouri and DHM Design Corporation in Carbondale, Colorado, designing many diverse and immersive landscape projects of various types and scales. Growing up in Iowa, Chad was drawn to the rural landscape vernacular and native plant ecology.  His passion in ecological design and sustainability strongly influences his design perspective throughout each project.

Chad enjoys biking, hiking, reading, cooking, and traveling outside the field of landscape architecture.
